Spring/Summer Outfits (City Series)

Hello Everyone!

I am currently in Zambia: my home. It is supposedly winter here but in fact, it is often thirty degrees during the day (perks of living in Africa). Similarly, England, my second home, is also experiencing fabulous weather, so therefore readers in both the northern and southern hemisphere can enjoy these outfits which all deviate from spring/summer collections.

It is important to note that these outfits are from what I call ‘a city series’ – essentially this means that these outfits are most fitting to be worn in towns/cities (restaurants, cafes, shopping, events etc). In addition to the ‘city series’ there will be a ‘summer series’ which will be compiled with outfits that are fitting to atypical summer vacation spots such as beaches, safaris and more rural destinations.

ENJOY!

The 5 Gingham Dresses You Need Right Now!

Hello Everyone,

I hope all my readers in the northern hemisphere are enjoying the blooming roses, the wonderful wisteria and the longer days. I know that I certainly am.

The spring collections are traditionally characterised by floral prints and upcoming summer dresses. This year, however, designers have something new in store for us: Gingham! When most people think about gingham they think about the print that is only seen on pieces of school uniform – (cue the nostalgia). If you think like me, then you also think of gingham as the material that (not-so-haute) cafes use as tablecloths. Neither of these thoughts are particularly flattering.

If you are like me, a tired and rundown university student, I am sure you are looking forward to the upcoming holidays.

A few weeks ago after handing in numerous essays I was simply too tired and rundown to wait for the upcoming holidays; so, I decided to take a weekend trip to Milan. (Note: off-peak trips to European destinations like Milan can be very cheap, highly recommend taking a holiday during a not-so-typical holiday time to bag some great deals)

London Fashion Week – Autumn/Winter 17

Hello Everyone,

It is fair to say that it has been a long time since I have last posted on the blog – but, after the relaunch of my instagram @justmoifashion and five essay deadlines, I am proud to say that it is officially back in business.

February can only be described as one of the most exciting months of my life. Two years after moving to London and four fashion weeks later, I can officially say that I have attended my first London Fashion Week. Last year I interned at Diane Von Furstenburg for London Fashion Week but working at fashion week and attending fashion week are two completely different entities. I use the word ‘entity’ because though fashion week is a single event, working and attending are completely independent of each other.
